How to culture any sample for Optimum
Recovery
This is what you receive: 6 bottles of gel, one
bottle of clear diluent, and three taped petri dishes. |
Safe disposal instructions. |
Start with 3 bottles
of gel and one bottle of diluent. |
This is diluent. You can add any sample; household
dust or air (for allergens), food and ingredient samples, or
personal body samples into the diluent . Shake well, and let
the diluent stand for 20 - 60 minutes. |
The sample in the diluent will now be divided
equally between the three media. |
The three media samples should sit
for no less than 3 1/2 hours and no more than 6 hours at room
temperature for environmental samples.
Yeast will multiply in liquid media.
Body fluid and skin samples should be poured into Petri dishes
within ten minutes of diluent dispersion. |

Red High pH |
Purple Stachybotrys/Yeast |

After the required time for liquid
culture has been satisfied, the 3 bottles of liquid culture should
be paired with the corresponding colored taped petri dish and
remaining bottle of gel.
Pour both bottles of
the same colored media into the petri dish with the matching colored
tape. Allow the petri dish with the freshly poured 2 bottles of
the same colored media to sit for 1 hour to completely solidify.
Then retape the dishes with the colored tapes that match the gel.
What you can expect
to see in the 3 different petri dishes from 1 sample this is how
drop out media performs.
